I would like to bring the following message that is circulating to your attention & please read it carefully so that you have a full understanding.

Clarification On Receipt Of This Message:

 

Who ever fasts on d 9th and 10th of Muharram its as though he has done ibadat for 2years and who ever makes someone aware of this its as though he has done ibadat for 80years, so please don’t forget to fast on these days….

Firtsly it is not Authentic but fabricated.  And it is a lie relating to: “Who ever makes someone aware of this its as though he has done ibadat for 80years”

The Correct Hadith is as follows:

Nabi-e-Kareem SallAllahu alaihi wasallam said: The best fast after fasting of Ramadhaan is during the month of Muharram (Tirmidhi Sharief). Hence, to fast anytime during this month is meritorious.

When Nabi Sallahu alaihi wasallam was questioned about Ashura (10th Muharram) Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wasallam said: It erases the previous years sins (Muslim Sharief).

 

However, the Jews also used to fast on this day, therefore, Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wasallam said that fast one day before Ashurah or a day after it (Musnad Ahmad). Hence, it is Sunnah to fast on the 9th & 10th of Muharram or 10th & 11th

By passing Deeni messages without verifying (Because all those things are innovations) is a major SIN! If you open the door of innovation there is no stopping what people will come up with. That is why it is of paramount importance you check with the Ulema first.

May ALLAH TA’ALA eradicate all these lies & innovations attributed to Islaam & make us firm & steadfast upon the Sunnah, Aameen
