Spiritual Thirst…
قال الشيخ إلياس رحمه الله
مقصد جهد الدعوة هو إنشاء الجوع والعطش لأوامر الله
فالإحساس الجسمي بالجوع والعطش فطري في الإنسان ويأتي بدون الجهد
ولكن الجوع والعطش الروحي يحتاج لجهد لكي يأتي
Hazrat Moulana Muhammad Ilyaas Saab Rahmatullah Alaih used to say:
“The object behind the Effort of Da’wat is to create hunger and thirst in people to obey the commands of Allah Ta’ala.
The bodily feeling of hunger and thirst is natural in a human being and it occurs without any effort.
However, in order for the spiritual hunger and thirst to come alive, sacrifice will have to be given..”
